Privacy Policy
LAST UPDATED · 22 Apr 2026
1. The short version
Paise Back reconciles your Amazon India Seller Central reports entirely inside your web browser. Your PO report, settlement report, and bank statement are never uploaded to any server, never stored anywhere, and never seen by us. Close the browser tab and everything is gone from your machine's memory.
The only personal information we keep is the name, email, and phone number you optionally provide when you pay for Pro, and the payment record from our payment gateway (PhonePe). That's it.
2. Who we are
"Paise Back" refers to the service operated at paiseback.in. For anything in this policy, you can reach us at support@paiseback.in. Paise Back is an independent software service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries.
3. What information we collect
3.1 Information you voluntarily provide
- Name (optional) — used on your payment receipt and access-code email.
- Email (required for Pro purchase) — used to deliver your access code and receipt.
- Phone number (required for Pro purchase) — passed to PhonePe for payment processing and kept on file for account recovery.
- Messages you send us at support@paiseback.in — we keep these in Gmail to answer you.
3.2 Information we do not collect
- Contents of your PO, Settlement, or Bank Statement files. These are read and processed in JavaScript running on your device. They never leave your browser.
- Your Amazon Seller Central credentials. We don't ask for them, don't want them, and can't use them.
- Bank account numbers, card numbers, or UPI IDs. Those are handled by PhonePe under their own privacy policy.
3.3 Information collected automatically
- Standard web-server logs from our hosting provider (Vercel) — IP address, user agent, page path, response code, timestamp. Retained for up to 30 days for debugging and abuse prevention.
- We do not use third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or session-replay tools as of the "last updated" date above.
4. How we use your information
- To process your Pro purchase via PhonePe and issue an access code.
- To email you that access code, the receipt, and occasional product updates tied to your purchase (you can unsubscribe by replying to any email).
- To resolve support requests you raise with us.
- To comply with Indian tax, accounting, and payment-gateway record-keeping obligations.
5. Who we share your information with
We share only the minimum necessary data with a small number of trusted processors:
- PhonePe — Indian payment gateway. Receives your name, phone, email (if provided), amount, and merchant transaction ID in order to process payment. Covered by PhonePe's privacy policy.
- Supabase — database infrastructure. Stores your name, phone, email, amount, payment status, and access code. Hosted in Supabase's cloud infrastructure.
- Vercel — hosting and web serving. Sees request metadata (IP, user agent, path) in server logs.
- Google (Gmail SMTP) — delivers your access-code email. Sees recipient email, subject, and body at the moment of sending.
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise trade your personal information to anyone. We do not share data with advertisers.
6. Cookies and local storage
Paise Back does not set marketing or tracking cookies. Our pages may use short-lived localStorage entries to remember UI state (e.g. which table filter you last used). Nothing that identifies you personally is stored there.
7. Your rights under Indian law
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) gives you the right to:
- Ask us what personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or update any inaccurate data.
- Ask us to delete your data (subject to tax/accounting retention rules).
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf in case you are incapacitated.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@paiseback.in from the email address associated with your purchase. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Data retention
- Payment records — kept for 7 years as required under Indian tax and accounting law.
- Access codes — kept indefinitely, but are single-use and tied to a specific payment.
- Support emails — kept in Gmail for as long as the thread is active; archived but not deleted automatically.
- Server logs — rotated within 30 days.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security: HTTPS everywhere, secrets held in a restricted-access environment, service-role database keys never exposed to the browser. That said, no system is perfectly secure — if you believe your Paise Back account or access code has been compromised, email us immediately and we will reset it.
10. Children
Paise Back is a B2B tool for GST-registered Amazon India sellers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
11. Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, if we have your email on file, send you a notice. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
12. Grievance officer
Per Rule 3(2) of the Intermediary Guidelines, the Grievance Officer for Paise Back is:
Paise Back — Grievance Desk
Email: support@paiseback.in
Response time: within 24 hours on working days; resolution within 15 days as per the IT Rules.
